The American Society of Hematology (ASH) produces an annual report each year highlighting the Society’s activities and achievements from the previous year. In 2017, the Society produced an online-only edition of the report that allowed the Society to provide interactive content within the report including videos.

I worked with the Communications Department and a graphic designer to design the report. I designed the layouts and interactive aspects of the report and also chose the fonts. The icons, illustrations, and color palette were created by a graphic designer. All of the content is loaded as JSON with a custom structured that I tailored to the needs of the report. I used Handlebars.js to templatize the design and a combination of CSS and JavaScript is used for the animations within the website. The report used responsive design techniques to ensure that it looks great on smartphones, tablets, and laptops/desktops.

I've included a few screenshots of the report below, but you can also checkout an interactive version. Unfortunately, it's no longer available on the ASH website.
